The new school year is back in full swing! CHEH had a great Kick-Off Meeting with many new families in attendance! We are looking forward to getting to know all of those that have joined this year.
I want to encourage you to participate in as many CHEH events as possible. Our coordinators put a good deal of time into planning the events and it is certainly encouraging to them when there is a good turnout. It is always uplifting for both children and parents to be around other homeschooling families and to make new friendships. Our Back-to-School Bowling Bash had a great turnout with a little over 100 folks in attendance!
Make sure to check your emails, read your newsletter, and print it out so everyone is
informed. We will be sending requests for your RSVP to some events this year so please respond promptly. We try not to overload you with emails, however this is the way we communicate with our members. Texting is not an option, so please check your emails daily. To advertise a homeschool item on our Community Bulletin Board page, please email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We also want to encourage all mothers to save the date for the Mom’s Workshop on October 7th. It’s a wonderful time of fellowship, encouragement, information, and of course good food! You don’t want to miss!
With so many new families this year, I want to make sure you all are aware of our ministry team. Rhonda Mowry heads up this team and has several families helping her. Please be sure to inform Rhonda, or me (Amy) if you can’t reach Rhonda, when your family has a new baby, illness or death of immediate family member, or other crisis or need during which CHEH can minister to you with a meal, visit, or especially prayer. You can also contact Rhonda if you would like to serve on the ministry team. We want to lift up and minister to one another.
May God richly bless this 2017/2018 school year for your family.
