PostHeaderIcon Chairman’s Corner (Nov/Dec)

Cooler weather and fall colors – what a beautiful time of year! It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner. May we all remember the true and original meaning of these special days. “O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the people.” Psalms 105:1  “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11

There are many CHEH events planned for November and December, and you will find those listed in the newsletter. It would be wise to print the newsletter for future reference and hang up the nice calendar that Martha makes for us that highlights CHEH events. Let us highlight here two events for you.

Our first annual Dads’ Fall Fellowship. We have tried for several years to get this event planned and have finally succeeded. There will be food, fellowship, fun, fishing, freebies (door prizes), and food for thought. This is just for the dads – no distractions from the wives or kiddos.? Also make note of the Christmas Caroling and Skating event. This event is not only fun for us, but it is a time to serve and minister to others. The residents at Alden Pointe do so enjoy it when we sing and visit with them. Then, there’s also our Thanksgiving event, field trips, park days, MNO, youth loop, and the list goes on.

Read your newsletter so you know what is going on.
